Heritage Joinery
Architectural timber suffers over the years — doors drop, panelling splits, staircases work loose, mouldings rot. Heritage joinery is the craft of putting that right without erasing the history written into the wood.
We restore where we can and replicate where we must, matching original profiles by woodturning and bench joinery so repairs blend in and the building keeps its character. As a Guild of Master Craftsmen member we have the skills and accreditation this work demands.

What we do
Restoration and repair of architectural timber for period and listed buildings, keeping original material wherever it can be saved.
- Doors, panelling, staircases and architectural mouldings restored
- Decayed timber spliced and treated; matching parts made by hand
- Bespoke replacement of components beyond repair, on the original profile
- Ironmongery stripped, recoated and reused wherever possible
- Sympathetic work for listed and conservation-area properties
How it works
From inspection to installation.
- 01
Inspection & assessment
An on-site examination establishes the condition, the scope of work and a planned, sympathetic approach.
- 02
Restoration & repairs
Paint and coatings are stripped, decay treated, and matching timbers sourced for bespoke replacement parts.
- 03
Refurbishment & decoration
Originality is maintained through careful refurbishment; new parts are decorated to match and ironmongery reused.
- 04
Conservation & preservation
Components are treated against weather and wear, then set in place to sound conservation practice to last another generation.
